People Group Services supporting the Ukraine crisis

We are delighted to support Scott Laidlaw, a care worker, and Tommy Sprangle, a retired soldier. Both Scott and Tommy live in our local town, Warminster, and have just embarked on an epic journey through Europe delivering supplies to those in need in Ukraine. The two men, keen to take some action to help people in Ukraine, will travel over 2,500 miles to deliver supplies and donations from the people of Warminster. A journey of 23-hours driving each way, which started on Tuesday 29 March.

Just this week, People Group Services have launched our #standwithUkraine campaign, whereby contractors can opt to donate their spare pennies in their wages from their net pay. We will match the donation on a weekly basis and contribute to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. The campaign will run over the next 8 weeks and contractors can opt in and out as much as they like during that period. Together, we are aiming to raise thousands of pounds over the coming weeks.

Knowing the urgency of the crisis and in a bid to help Scott and Tommy with their difficult trip, People Group Services pre-funded their trip donating £500 towards the cost. Helping out with the costs of fuel, ferry, food, and lodgings.

We’re sending our thoughts to them, as they travel back home, and to the Ukrainian people who have so much unnecessary suffering at this time.
