Yesterday the government announced that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) will be extended until the end of March 2021 for all parts of the UK.

People Group have made the decision to not continue CJRS payments for contractors after the summer holidays. With the cost to People Group set to increase by an additional 10% in September and then 20% in October, it is not financially viable to continue to make CJRS payments.

People Group are delighted to announce that at 1pm today (Thursday 30 July) we have received an update from HMRC confirming that we are able to continue furloughing our contractors throughout the Summer.
